New Short Story! “The Great Presidential Debate of 2024” is live on The Satirist!

Our long national nightmare is over!

Oh, wait…. You thought I was talking about that nightmare?  Sorry, can’t help you there.  But I can offer you a look at my new short story, so that’s gotta count for something, right?  Seemed like a good time to satirize American politics, so I took a shot at it.  Many thanks to The Satirist for giving it a home.

Check out The Great Presidential Debate of 2024 in The Satirist.

What Would You Do With 99 Cents…

  1.   Buy one or two loose cigarettes from the guy who’s always smoking on the sidewalk outside your office?
  2.   Order an item off the dollar menu at Taco Bell, and ask the person in line behind you to cover the sales tax?
  3.   Round up five buddies who each have 99 cents of their own, head to your nearest Starbucks, choose the grande-sized drink of your choice and split it six ways?

All fine choices, certainly, but what if I told you that your pocket change could get something better than 3.33 ounces of iced skinny caramel macchiato?  Too good to be true, you say?  Well, under normal circumstances, it would be.  But we’re living in extraordinary times.  From now through September 25, you can grab a copy of The Prophet of Marathon for only 99 cents!  This is unsustainable,  Crazy Eddie-level shit, my friends.  Don’t miss out!

And if you’ve already read it, now’s the perfect opportunity to recommend it to a friend.  If they love it, they’ll be grateful.  If not, just remind them that they’re better off not having eaten that Beefy Fritos Burrito, anyhow.

Kobo Next!

Some exciting news for my Canadian fans (they are legion, of course), as well as for anyone, anywhere whose e-reader of choice is Kobo…

The Prophet of Marathon is being featured as a Kobo Next selection this week, one of a group of books which Kobo describes as “hidden gems that are poised to become the next big thing.” From their lips to God’s ears…

As an added bonus, over the weekend, you can save 50% by entering the promo code “50JUN” at checkout in the Kobo store.

You can check it out in the Kobo Store here.

Taking The Prophet of Marathon Wide

I can’t believe that six months have passed since I released The Prophet of Marathon.  Until today, the ebook edition has only been available on Amazon, but I’m happy to announce that you can now find it on Nook, iBooks, Kobo, Google Play and Smashwords.  If you’re a non-Kindle ebook reader, here’s your chance!

You Never Forget Your First… Novel

Since November, I’ve focused all of my marketing/publicity efforts (such as they are) on my newest release, The Prophet of Marathon.  This week, I felt like it was time to show some love to the novel that started it all, so I’ve discounted Peripheral Involvement to $0.99 everywhere (Kindle, Nook, Kobo, Apple, Google Play).  If you haven’t read it yet, here’s your chance!

He (or She) Who Hesitates is Lost

Well, at the very least, anyone who hesitates this week will miss the chance to save $4.00 on the Kindle edition of The Prophet of Marathon.  That’s right, folks – it’s time for another Kindle Countdown deal.  You can grab a digital copy of my second novel for only $0.99 (99p in the UK), but the deal expires on February 23.  After that, it’s back up to $4.99.  So, if you haven’t taken a chance on Prophet yet, now’s your time.  If it’s already on your Kindle, it’s a great time to recommend it to a friend.  Or two.  Or twenty.

New Short Story Coming in February!

Over the last few months, I think I told some of you about my latest short story, The Last Hard Man in TriBeCa.  Today, I’m very happy to report that it’s finally found a home.  It’s going to be published in Pinball next month.  Don’t know Pinball?  It’s a literary magazine that’s been around since 2012 – you can check out some of their stories, art and essays here.  Stay tuned for more details on when you can expect to see the next issue.
